Sweet Juno is a 2 year, 5 month old pup. She weights 54 lbs with the best traits of a Black Mouth Cur and Boxer, smart, affectionate, and full of playful energy.

Juno is a sweet and social pup who’s ready to find her forever family.

She thrives around other dogs and is always excited to make new pup friends. Whether it’s a game of chase or tug-of-war with a plushy toy, Juno is always ready for fun. She loves to go to dog parks.

She’s also a gentle and respectful girl. She is great with cats and loving with kids, including small children. Her easygoing and affectionate personality makes her an amazing fit for families, multi-pet homes, or anyone looking for a loyal, playful companion.

Juno’s favorite things:
– Plushy and chew toys
– Doggy treats
– Lounging on the couch
– Making new friends
– Cuddles and belly rubs

She’s crate trained, but she’s happiest when she can stretch out next to you on the couch. Juno has all the right qualities: friendly, gentle, social, and full of love.

Juno is ready to bring joy and comfort to a home that will cherish her as much as she’ll cherish you.

The adoption fee is $600. It includes all vetting such as core vaccines, spay/neuter, deworming, and heart-worm prevention, as well as a microchip, health certificate, and transportation costs.

FAQ

  1. High Shelter Overcrowding: Texas has one of the highest rates of shelter overcrowding in the U.S., leading to higher euthanasia rates due to limited space and resources. By adopting from Texas, you can save a life and reduce the burden on local shelters.

  2. Diverse Range of Breeds and Animals: Texas shelters house a wide variety of dog and cat breeds, from purebreds to mixed breeds, ensuring adopters can find a pet that suits their lifestyle and preferences.

  3. Southern Hospitality in Pets: Many pets in Texas are incredibly loving and resilient despite challenging circumstances. Adopting from Texas gives you the chance to bring home a companion with a big heart and a sweet disposition.

  4. Impact of Natural Disasters: Texas is prone to hurricanes and other natural disasters, which often result in displaced pets. Adopting helps these animals find stability and a loving home after traumatic experiences.

  5. Affordable Adoption Fees: Many Texas shelters and rescues have lower adoption fees than other states, making it a cost-effective option for bringing home a furry friend.

  6. Transportation Assistance: Several organizations and rescue groups in Texas provide transport services to adoptable animals, making it easier than ever to adopt from out of state.

  7. Community Support: By adopting from Texas, you’re supporting the animal welfare community in a state that faces significant challenges. This includes reducing euthanasia rates and advocating for improved shelter practices.

  8. Make Room for More Rescues: When you adopt from a Texas shelter, you’re not just saving one life—you’re making space for another animal in need to be rescued and cared for.

Meet and greets are done through a video call with you, the foster parent(s), and Juno. You may ask any questions and concerns you may have.
Transport is arranged after adoption. We will coordinate with you and a transportation company. The transportation fee is included in the adoption fee.
If it doesn’t work out we will put together a plan to get the pet back to Texas if a foster in the area is not found. Please keep in mind most pets need a decompression and adjustment period.
